HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 3425A - RESOLUTION NO. 3425 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI ENDORSING IN PRINCIPAL A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY. WHEREAS, previous hereto the Board of Supervisors of San Joaquin County has approved the preparation and the submission to the Department of Housing and Urban Development of the Federal Government of an apptiication for funding the Community Development Program for San Joaquin County; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has directed its Planning Department to familiarize the City of Lodi with the purposes of the Community Development Program, and to further ascertain whether the City of Lodi is willing to cooperate with the County of San Joaquin in reference to the Community Development Program; and WHEREAS, the City of Lodi has been advised by representatives of the Planning Department of San Joaquin County of the purposes of the Community Development Program, and of its possible benefit to the County of San Joaquin and the City of Lodi: and WHEREAS, the City of Lodi is desirous of endorsing in principal the development of such a program for San Joaquin County which may be of benefit to the City of Lodi and to cooperate with the County of San Joaquin in connection with the development of such a program: NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lodi, and it does hereby go on record as endorsing in principal the development of a Community Development Program for San Joaquin County; and - I - 34 8— L� BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Lodi is desirous of cooperating to the fullest extent possible with San Joaquin County and its representatives in the preparation of an application for the funding of a Community Development Program provided that the City of Lodi shall not be requested to, or required to make any cash contribution in con- nection with the application for funding and the development of a Community Development Program for San Joaquin County, and further, that the City of Lodi is not requested to provide any significant in kind services by any of its officers and employees and departments above those made in connection with normal City operations and functions.
