HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2004-227RESOLUTION NO. 2004-227 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS, AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR MAINTENANCE OF LANDSCAPE AREAS FOR 2005, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD OR REJECTTHE CONTRACTS UP TO $150,000 WHEREAS, this project provides for the contract maintenance of 142 landscaped sites within the City of Lodi and White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility; and WHEREAS, maintenance of landscaped areas fall under three separate contracts as follows: Group A - Maintenance of Lower Sacramento Road and Adjacent Non -Turf Landscape Areas 2005 (66 sites). Group B - Maintenance of Cherokee Lane and Adjacent Non -Turf Landscape Areas, 2005 (33 sites). Group C - Maintenance of Turf and Miscellaneous Landscape Areas 2005 (43 sites). WHEREAS, the current contract expires December 31, 2004, and includes multiple bidding options with reduced frequencies for the non -turf areas in an effort to obtain the best price and reduce maintenance costs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEDthat the Lodi City Council does hereby approve the specifications and authorize advertisement for bids for Maintenance of Landscape Areas for 2005 and further authorize the City Managerto award or reject the contract up to $150,000.
