HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2004-206N 'Lit 11 AL -N] 41114111U UL01111 WHEREAS, the City of Lodi is in the process of implementing an Eastside Mobility and Accessibility Planning (EMAP) Project with the funds provided through this Environmental Justice Transportation Planning Grant from the State of California Department of Transportation; and WHEREAS, the EMAP Project seeks to measure cultural preferences for residential street features, which in turn will remove barriers to job access and family development; and WHEREAS, the EMAP Project will use a comprehensive method in which all residents can make a difference on how their streets look and work and in deciding what transportation improvement projects and other public works improvement projects are to be planned for their local neighborhoods; and WHEREAS, the Lodi Public Works Department will incorporate the information gathered through the EMAP Project into the planning and design for future capital improvement projects throughout the Eastside. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED by the Lodi City Council as follows: 1) That the City Manager, or designee, is authorized to take all necessary steps to secure the grant funds from the State of California Department of Transportation to provide funds for the EMAP Project. 2) That the City Manager, or designee, is authorized and empowered to conduct all negotiations and submit all documents, including but not limited to contracts, subcontracts, applications, agreements, extensions, renewals, payment requests, and amendments of funding provided by the Federal Highway Administration and California Department of Transportation, which may be necessary for the completion of the EMAP Project. 3) That the City Manager is hereby authorized for and on behalf of the City of Lodi to execute all documents, including but not limited to contracts, subcontracts, applications, agreements, extensions, renewals, payment requests, and amendments of funding provided by the Federal Highway Administration and California Department of Transportation, which may be necessary for the completion of the EMAP Project. 4) That the City Manager, or designee, is authorized, for and on behalf of the City of Lodi to accept, appropriate, expend, and administer grant funds in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the approved grant for the Project.
