HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2004-1862002 RESOURCES 11 ACT YOUTH SOCCER AND RECREATION DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM RESOLUTION O APPROVING THE APPLICATION GRANT+ THE YOUTH UNDERSOCCER AND RECREATION DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM - CALIFORNIA 1. WATER, CLEAN ' SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS, AND COASTAL PROTECTION ACT OF 2002 FOR:ir DEBENEDETTI PARK WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the CALIFORNIA CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS, AND COASTAL PROTECTION ACT OF 2002, which provides funds to the State of California for grants to eligible Applicants; and WHEREAS, the California Department of barks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the Youth Soccer and Recreation Development Program and the grant Project shown above within the State, setting up necessary procedures; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Department of Warks and Recreation require the Applicant's Governing Body to certify by resolution the approval of the Application before submission of said Application to the State; and WHEREAS, the Applicant will eater into a Contract with the State of California for the Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, ORDERED, and DETERMINED that the City Council of the City of nodi does hereby: I . Approve the filing of an Application for local assistance funds from the Mouth Soccer and Recreation Development Program under the California Cleary Water, Clean Air, Safe Neighborhood Parks, and Coastal Protection Act of 2002; and 2. Certify that the Applicant has or will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the Project, and . Certify that the Applicant has reviewed, understands, and agrees to the General Provisions contained in the Contract shorn in the Procedural Guide, and 4. Certify that the Grantee has or will have available, prior to commencement of any work on the Project, the Match; 5. Certify that the Project conforms to the recreation element of any applicable city or county general elan; and 5. Appoint the Parks and Recreation Director as agent to conduct all negotiations and submit all documents including, but not limited to, applications, agreements, payment requests, and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of the Project. 7. Authorize and direct the City Manager to execute all necessary applications, agreements, and payment requests on behalf of the City of Lodi.
