HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2003-230WHEREAS, the goal of a Community Separator / Greenbelt Task Force is to create. a greenbelt community separator to preserve open space and agricultural farmland between the cities of Lodi and Stockton; and WHEREAS., the objective is to explore and investigate a variety of models available as utilized in Cather cities to accomplish the separator and open space and to make a recommendation to the Lodi City Council of what it thinks would work best from among the alternatives; and WHEREAS, the Community Separator / Greenbelt Task Force will consist. of 19 member's (15 selected by mayor. Hitchcock, and four additional members to be appointed subsequent to the December 3, 2003 action); and WHEREAS, at the second meeting of the committee, the Task Force members shall elect a chair and vice chair, and WHEREAS, the Task Force will meet monthly or twice monthly as determined by the committeeto review the various options available for obtaining the community separator greenbelt: The Community Development Department, under the direction of the Community De.vel pment Director, will facilitate the process of providing all of the various options to assist the committee in meeting Its goal; and WHEREAS, the term of the appointed task force members will enol when a recommendation is made to the City Council and the Council deems there is no further need for the committee. NOW, THEREFORE,. BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that it hereby establishes a Mayor's Community Separator / Greenbelt Task Force and that the following 15 individuals are appointed to the Task Farce: Clift Bradshaw Ann Gerney Christina Cross Mark Chandler Ja abir Gill Katelin Grant Pete Hetzner Susan Hitchcock Patrick Johnston Robin Knowlton Bob Laughland Robert Matthias Pat Patrick Dave Phillips Randy Snider BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each Council Member shall be allowed to make one additional appointment (for a total of 19 members) to the Task Force; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that other interested parties will be asked to provide input and address concerns to the Task Force.
