HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2003-150RESOLUTION NO. 2003-150 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE ESTABLISHED OVERALL ANNUAL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES (DBE) GOAL OF 7% FOR FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION (FHWA)-ASSISTED PROJECTS AND 5% OF FEDERAL TRANSPORTATION ADMINISTRATION (FTA) - ASSISTED PROJECTS FOR FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2003-04 WHEREAS, the City of Lodi is required to develop and submit an Overall Annual Goal for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) participation for U. S. Department of Transportation (DOT) -assisted contracts, as a condition of federal financial assistance, pursuant to Title 49 CFR Part 26; Participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in U.S. DOT Programs; and WHEREAS, in accordance with DBE regulations, the City of Lodi has established Overall Annual DBE Goals for federal fiscal year 2003-04 for FHWA- and FTA -assisted projects to ensure full compliance with relevant regulatory requirements; and WHEREAS, the City of Lodi has established a goal of 7% for FHWA-assisted projects and 5% for FTA -assisted projects for federal fiscal year 2003-04; and WHEREAS, City Council adoption is required to ensure compliance with FTA's and DOT's federal funding requirements, provisions, and financial responsibilities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lodi City Council does hereby authorize the approval and adoption of the Established Overall Annual DBE Goals of 7% for FHWA- assisted projects and 5% for FTA -assisted projects for federal fiscal year 2003-04, and submission to the California Department of Transportation and FTA on behalf of the City for final approval.
