A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A
CODE ENFORCEMENT GRANT PROGRAM (CEGP) APPLICATION, THE INCURRING
OF ANY OBLIGATION, THE EXECUTION BY THE CITY MANAGER OF A GRANT
AGREEMENT AND ANY AMENDMENT'S THERETO, AND ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS
NECESSARY TO SECURE A CEGP GRANT" FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the Community Development Director for the City of Lodi wishes to apply
for and receive an allocation of funds through the Cade Enforcement Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, the California Department. of Housing and Community Development (HCD)
has issued a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for the Code Enforcement Groat Program
established by S6 1227 Burton (Chapter 20 of the Statutes of 2002), Health and Safety Code
section 53533(a)6. Pursuant to the statute, HCD is authorized to approve funding allocations
for the program, subject to the terms and conditions of the NOFA and program application
forms.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Community Development Director for
the City of Lodi shall submit to HCD an application to participate in the Cade Enforcement Grant
Program in response to the NOFA issued February 14, 2003, which will request a funding
allocation in an amount not to exceed $35,714.52 for the purchase of capital assets identified in
the application to be used in the City of Lodi. The application also commits the applicant to use,
support, and maintain the capital assets acquired with grant funds for at least three (3) years;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if the application for funding is approved, the City of
Lodi hereby agrees to use the funds for eligible capital assets) in the manner presented ire the
application as approved by MCC and in accordance with the NOFA and application package.. It
also may execute any. instruments required by HCD" for participation in the Cade Enforcement
Grant Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Lodi authorizes the City Manager to
execute in the name of the City of Lodi the application, the Standard Agreement; and all other
documents required by HCD for participation in the Cade Enforcement Grant Program.
