HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2002-179RESOLUTION NO. 2002-179 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT AND ADJUSTMENT OF CERTAIN PARKS AND RECREATION FEES AND CHARGES ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. WHEREAS, Lodi Municipal Code §12.16.020 requires the City Council, by Resolution, to set fees for various services provided by the City of Lodi to recover those costs associated with providing specific services and programs; and WHEREAS, staff recommends increasing and establishing fees for the Parks and Recreation Department as shown on the attached schedule, marked Exhibit A. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby implement the fee schedule as attached hereto marked Exhibit A and made a part of this Resolution. SECTION 2. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are repealed insofar as such conflict may exist. SECTION 3. This resolution shall be published one time in the Lodi News Sentinel, a daily newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City of Lodi, and shall be in force and take effect August 21, 2002. BLACKSTON City Clerk 2002-179 Lodi Parks and Recreation Department Proposed Facility Rental Fee Schedule It is the intent of the Lodi Parks and Recreation Department to provide facilities for the use and enjoyment of the community for a variety of recreational uses pursuant to the Lodi Municipal Code, Chapter 12.16. The department offers an array of facilities for public and private rental. Fees are based on a culmination of factors such as maintenance required for the event, group classification, size and type of event, and budgetary guidelines. Group A: City -sponsored events (includes use of facilities for individual department needs). Group B: Non-profit organizations (includes churches, boy/girl scouts, etc.) located within the city limits. Organizations must be recognized as non-profit (501-C status) and must show proof if requested. Group C: Residents and businesses residing within city limits. Group D Residents, businesses, and non-profit organizations residing outside the city limits. The Parks and Recreation Department may waive fees with the approval of the City Manager when it is determined that an undue hardship exists or when it is in the best interest of the City.
