A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE
CONTRACT FOR KETTLEMAN LANE (HIGHWAY 12) LANDSCAPE AND
IRRIGATION PROJECT, HUTCHINS STREET TO FAIRMONT AVENUE,
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE PROJECT; AND REJECTING ALL
BIDS FOR KETTLEMAN LANE (HIGHWAY 12) LANDSCAPE AND
IRRIGATION PROJECT, TIENDA DRIVE TO LOWER SACRAMENTO ROAD

WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of
this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on June 12, 2002 at 11:00
a.m. for the Kettleman Lane (Highway 12) Landscape and Irrigation Project, Hutchins Street to
Fairmont Avenue, described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on
November 21, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the project was divided into two parts and bid proposals were received for
each; and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof
filed with the City Manager as follows:

WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends award of the bid for the Kettleman Lane
(Highway 12) Landscape and Irrigation Project, Hutchins Street to Fairmont Avenue, be made to
the low bidder, Odyssey Landscape, of Stockton, CA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of the
bid for the Kettleman Lane (Highway 12) Landscape and Irrigation Project, Hutchins Street to
Fairmont Avenue, be and the same is hereby awarded to Odyssey Landscape, of Stockton, CA,
in the amount of $27,399.00; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds in the amount of $30,000.00 be appropriated
from the Street Fund for this project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lodi City Council hereby rejects all bids for the
Kettleman Lane (Highway 12) Landscape and Irrigation Project, Tienda Drive to Lower
Sacramento Road, at this time in order that these improvements be constructed along with the
Kettleman Lane Gap Closure Project to be bid in 2003.

Council of the City of Lodi in an adjourned regular meeting held July 3, 2002, by the following
