MEETING DATE: November 18,1998 PREPARED BY: Special Projects Coordinator RECOMMENDED ACTION: Presentation. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Greater Lodi Area Youth Commission, in conjunction with the Lodi Sunrise Rotary Club and Christopher J. Olsen, American Express Financial Advisors, is sponsoring a program entitled Honoring Teens. The Lodi Youth Commission Leadership Committee selects one teen to be awarded Teen of the Month from the applications submitted to the commission from the general public, various schools, and church groups. This month's Teen of the Month is Jessica Graham from Lodi Academy High School and the Honorary Teen of the Month is Scott Kaul from Lodi High School. Dixonriir Manager r Bio for City Council November Teen of the Month Jessica has a good GPA, and is very involved in the community. She is the Student Association Religious Vice and a recent recipient of the $500 Caring Heart Award and the $500 National Service Scholars Award. She was also featured on KQCA-TV 58 in a Kids Helping Kids Segment. November Honorary Teen of the Month Scott and his family have been active in the Lodi Community Church for the past three years. Scott is always willing to help out in projects and has often given hours of service to the church. Scott has also been very active in high school drama and is a leader in that area of the school. His mariner, behavior and actions are a credit to our community.
