RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt the attached resolution after conducting a
public hearing to consider the Federal Transit Administration (FTA)
Fiscal Year 1998/99 Program of Projects application.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City of Lodi's Transit Division is in the process of preparing the
Program of Projects for fiscal year 1998/99 to be submitted to the
FTA. Part of that process is to hold a public hearing. The Program
of Projects for fiscal year 1998/99 likely will contain more FTA funds
for the Multimodal Station so that construction can be completed. Listed below are the projects
requested to be included in this Program and the dollar amount of each.

A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
APPROVING THE FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION
(FTA) 1998/99 PROGRAM OF PROJECTS

WHEREAS, the proposed Federal Transit Administration (FTA) 1998/99 Program
of Projects consists of Transit Operations, Vehicle Lease, Passenger Amenities,
Component Rebuilds, Bus Shelters, Facility Upgrades, Vehicle -Related Equipment, Lodi
Multimodal Construction, Six new CNG Buses and CNG Station; and
WHEREAS, funding for the projects will be coming from FTA Section 5307 funds
and TDA funds, with appropriations of funds to be made at time of purchase
recommendation, as follows:

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, November 4,1998 at the hour of 7:00 p.m., or as soon
thereafter as the matter may be heard, the City Council will conduct a Public Hearing at the Carnegie Forum,
305 West Pine Street, Lodi, to consider the following matter:
a) Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Fiscal Year 1998/99 Program of Projects application.
All interested persons are invited to present their views and comments on this matter. Written statements
may be filed with the City Clerk at any time prior to the hearing scheduled herein, and oral statements may
be made at said hearing.
If you challenge the subject matter in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone
else raised at the Public Hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City
Clerk, P.O. Box 3006, at or prior to the Public Hearing.
