AWARD - CONTRACT FOR FIRE STATION # 2 FURNISHINGS
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance
with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were
received and publicly opened by the City Clerk of this City on
August 19, 1981 at 11:00 a.m. for the contract for Fire Station
#2 Furnishings as described in the specifications therefor approved
by the City Council August 5, 1981; and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and
tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as
follows:
BIDDER
BID
M. Newfield and Sons $7,753.62
(Mattresses/box springs and
frames delivered in 2 weeks;
remaining items: 6-10 weeks)
Village House $1,809.72
The only items bid were
mattresses/box springs and
frames. The items were higher
than the same items in the low bid.
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award be made
to the low bidder, M. Newfield and Sons;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lodi that award of contract for Fire Station #2
Furnishings be and the same is hereby made to M. Newfield and
Sons, the low bidder, in the amount of $7,753.62.

I hereby certify that Resolution No. 81-113 was passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in
a regular meeting held August 19, 1981 by the following
vote:
Ayes: Councilmen - Murphy, Pinkerton, Katnich and
McCarty
Noes: Councilmen - None
Absent: Councilmen - Hughes
