RESOLUTION URGING ALLOCATION OF C.V.P. POWER
TO THE CITY OF LODI
WHEREAS, the City of Lodi is served by its own muni-
cipal electric utility, which was founded in the year 1910;
WHEREAS, this utility currently provides electricity
for a population in excess of 35,000;
WHEREAS, electric utility customers have experienced
continual energy price increases as a result of escalating
fuel costs;
WHEREAS, for more than 20 years the City has been
seriously interested in C.V.P. Power as a source of lower-cost
energy for its citizens;
WHEREAS, contractual obligations and the absence of
C.V.P. allocated capacity have combined to restrict the
City's ability to secure an allocation to date;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Lodi, representing all the citizens of this
City, emphatically urge the Western Area Power- Administration
to allocate an equitable quantity of C.V.P. power and energy
to the City of Lodi.

I hereby certify that Resolution No. 81-86 was passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi
in a regular meeting held July 1, 1981 by the follow-
ing vote:
Ayes: Councilmen - Hughes, Murphy, Pinkerton and McCarty
Noes: Councilmen - None
Absent: Councilmen - Katnich
