RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LODI SUPPORTING THE RETENTION OF ALL NEW POSTAI,
FACILITIES IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA OF THE CITY OF
LODI
WHEREAS, the City of Lodi has been apprised by the
United States Postal Department that in its continuing efforts
to improved postal service, it is considering the construction
of a new post office facility at Lodi, California.
WHEREAS, it is believed that the large number of post
office boxes and the approximately 1000 window transactions
per day at the present site, generate essential customers for
the local retail merchants, financial institutions, which
business is necessary to keep the downtown area economically
viable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Lodi continues to support the retention of all
post office facilities in the downtown area of this City.

I hereby certify that Resolution No. 81-67 was passed
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi
in a regular meeting held June 3, 1981 by the follow-
ing vote:
Ayes: Councilmen - Hughes, Murphy, Pinkerton, Katnich
and McCarty
Noes: Councilmen - None
Absent: Councilmen - None
