HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2001-129RESOLUTION NO. 2001-129 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR TRAFFIC SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS, AND FURTHER APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THIS PROJECT ------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------ WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council sealed bids were received and publicly opened on May 23, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. for Traffic Safety Improvements, described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on July 19, 2000; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Bidder Location Bid Zap Manufacturing' Grass Valley $ 5,420.15* CalTraffic Ceres $ 6,814.83 Western Highway Products Stanton $ 7,124.90 Hawkins Traffic Safety _ Berkeley $ 8,997.48 *Non -Responsive NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of the contract for Traffic Safety Improvements, be made to the lowest responsible bidder, CalTraffic, of Ceres, California, in the amount of $6,814.83; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds be appropriated from the Transportation Development Act Fund for this project.
