AGENDA TITLE: Approve Measure K Contract for Multimodal Station Construction between
San Joaquin County Council of Governments and City of Lodi
MEETING DATE: October 21, 1998

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the Measure K contract, between the
City of Lodi and the San Joaquin County Council of Govemments, for
construction of the Lodi Multimodal Station; and authorize the
City Manager to execute the contract.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City of Lodi is utilizing four different funding sources for the
construction of the Lodi Mulitmodal Station: Transit Capital
Improvement Funds (State of California), Transportation
Development Act (State Sales Tax), Federal Transportation
Administration formula funds (Federal Taxes), and Measure K (Local Sales Tax). The Measure K funds
require a contract between the City of Lodi and the San Joaquin County Council of Governments.
The contract requires the City to identify the project scope, all of the funding sources for construction,
and an expected timeline for release of Measure K funding sources. In the contract, the City states that
construction is expected to be completed between July 1999 and September 1999.
The contract is on file in the Public Works Department.

RESOLUTION NO. 98-158
A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL APPROVING THE
MEASURE K CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LODI AND THE
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS, FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE LODI MULTI -MODAL STATION, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE
CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF LODI
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lodi City Council hereby approves the Measure K
Contract between the City of Lodi and the San Joaquin County Council of Governments,
for the Construction of the Lodi Multi -Modal Station; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute this Agreement on behalf of the City of Lodi.
