HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2001-17RESOLUTION NO. 2001-17 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE 2001 SIDEWALK REPAIR PROGRAM AND MISCELLANEOUS CONCRETE WORK, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO COVER THE PROJECT -------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------- WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on January 24, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. for the 2001 Sidewalk Repair Program and Miscellaneous Concrete Work, described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on December 20, 2000; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Bidder Location Bids Engineer's Estimate $ 196,320.00 Popuch Concrete Contracting, Inc. Lodi $ 183,575.00 BDS Construction, Inc. Chowchilla $ 230,283.50 DBC Construction Sacramento $ 230,600.00 Vanguard Construction Oakland $ 360,750.00 WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends award of the bid for the 2001 Sidewalk Repair Program and Miscellaneous Concrete Work be made to the low bidder, Popuch Concrete Contracting, of Lodi, CA. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of the bid for the 2001 Sidewalk Repair Program and Miscellaneous Concrete Work, be and the same is hereby awarded to Popuch Concrete Contracting, of Lodi, CA, the low bidder, in the amount of $183,575.00; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds in the amount of $200,000.00 be appropriated from the Transportation Development Act (TDA) funds for this project.
