RESOLUTICN ADOPTING REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO THE
CANDIDATES STAMENT FCR THE APRIL 10, 1984
GENERAL KNICIPAL ELECTION
NBEREAS, Section 10012 of the Elections Code of the State of California
specifies that before the nomination period opens, the local agency for that
election shall determine whether a charge shall be levied against the
candidate for candidates statement and whether or not the limitation on
words for such statement shall be incerased from 200 to 400 words.
WBERFAS, Section 10012 of the Elections Code of the State of California
further provides that a written statement of the regulations with respect to
charges shall be provided to each candidate or his representative at the
time he picks up his nomination papers;
NOW, MMEFCItE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lodi
does hereby set forth the following regulations pertaining to the General
Municipal Election to be held April 10, 1984.
a) No charges shall be levied to the candidates for
the printing, handling, or distribution of the
candidates statement.
b) The candidates statement shall be limited to a
maximum of 200 words.
NOW, IMMEM, BE IT FMHM RESOLVED that each candidate or his
representative shall be provided with a copy of this Resolution at the time
he picks up his nomination papers.
