HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 2000-157RESOLUTION NO. 2000-157 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING CONTRACT FOR POLYMER MODIFIED CHIP SEAL FOR VARIOUS CITY STREETS, 2000, AND APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THIS PROJECT WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council sealed bids were received and publicly opened on August 16, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. for Polymer Modified Chip Seal for Various City Streets, 2000, described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on August 2, 2000; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Bidder Location Bids Engineer's Estimate $ 75,000.00 `N. Telfer Oil Company DBA Windsor Fuel Company Windsor $ 125,530.90 Valley Slurry Seal Company West Sacramento $ 158,033.50 WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends award of the contract for Polymer Modified Chip Seal for Various, City Streets, 2000, be made to the low bidder, Telfer Oil Company DBA Windsor Fuel Company of Windsor, California. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of the contract for Polymer Modified Chip Seal for Various City Streets, 2000, be and the same is hereby awarded to the low bidder, Telfer Oil Company DBA Windsor Fuel Company of Windsor, California in the amount of $125,530.90; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds be appropriated as follows: Street Operating Budget $75,530.00 Measure K Local Streets Repair Allocation $50,000.00 Dated: August 29, 2000 -------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------- I hereby certify that Resolution No. 2000-157 was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in a special meeting held August 29, 2000, by the following vote: AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS — Hitchcock, Land, Nakanishi and Pennino NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS — None ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS — Mann (Mayor) ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS — None SUSAN J.
