A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT"REDUCE MOTOR VEHICLE
EMISSIONS" (REMOVE) GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR TRAFFIC
PROJECTS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Lodi has submitted federal applications to Caltrans and
San Joaquin Council of Governments for six traffic signals at the locations shown below:
• Stockton Street at Lockeford Street I • Lodi Avenue at Mills Avenue
• Century Boulevard at Ham Lane I . Elm Street at Mills Avenue
• Harney Lane at Stockton Street I • Harney Lane at Ham Lane
WHEREAS, in additionAo the signals, the Public Works Department applied for a
signal interconnect project on Lodi Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City should receive notification as to whether these projects will
be federally funded by the time the REMOVE applications are submitted to the San
Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, and the Public Works Department will apply
for REMOVE funds to serve as the local match on federally -funded projects, and apply
for 100% of the project cost for any project not funded through the federal process.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lodi City Council hereby authorizes the City
Manager to submit "Reduce Motor Vehicle Emissions" (REMOVE) grant applications for
traffic signals and signal interconnect projects at various locations to San Joaquin Valley
Air Pollution Control District.
