HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 84-052RESOLUTION NO. 84-052 RESGLUTTICN SUPPCIRTING PASSAGE OF AB 2894 (CCNDIT) WHICH WOUID GIVE CITIES GREATER OC,TTROL OF SAFETY CN RESIDENTIAL COLLECIUR SIlt FM WBEREAS, AB2894 would amend the vehicle code to allow for 30 mph radar speed limits on streets that qualify for 25 mph non -radar limits. WHEREAS, the intent of AB2894 is to give local govermnents the authority to set "prima facie" speed limits on residential collector streets and to use radar to enforce those speed limits. NOW, THEREFCHE, the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby support passage AB2894. BE IT FUHIEER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby direct the City Clerk to forward certified copies of this Resolution to Mayor Peggy f8ensinger, Mayor of the City of Nbdesto, Assemblyman Condit, and Asserblyman Isenberg.
