HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 86-31RESOLUTION NO. 86-31 RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL PROCLAIMING EXISTENCE OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY WHEREAS, Lodi Municipal Code Section 2.32.040 empowers the Lodi City Council to proclaim the existence or threatened existence of a local emergency when the City is affected or likely to be affected by a public calamity; and WHEREAS, the Lodi City Council has been requested by the Director of Emergency Services of San Joaquin County to proclaim the existence of a local emergency therein; and WHEREAS, the Lodi City Council does hereby find: That conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property have arisen within the City of Lodi, caused by flood commencing on or about 2:00 p.m. on the 18th day of February, 1986; and That the aforesaid conditions of extreme peril warrant and necessitate the proclamation of the existence of a local emergency; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED that a local emergency now exists throughout the City of Lodi; and IT IS FURTHER PROC3;AIMED AND ORDERED that during the existence of said local emergency, the powers, functions, and duties of the City Manager and the emergency organization of the City of Lodi shall be those prescribed by State law, by ordinances, and resolutions of the City of Lodi approved by the Lodi City Council on the 2nd day of June, 1971. IT IS FUFdUM PROCLAIMED AMID ORDERED that said local emergency shall be deemed to continue to exist until its termination is proclaimed by the Lodi City Council of the County of San Joaquin, State of California.
