HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 87-85RESOLUTION NO. 87-85 RESOLUTION CONCURRING IN STAFF'S ACTION IN AWARDING THE BID FOR THE SOFTBALL COMPLEX BLEACHERS WHEREAS, on July 1, 1987, the Lodi City Council approved specifications for the softball complex bleachers, determining that an emergency situation existed because of the need for this equipment prior to the softball tournament scheduled for August 13 - 16, 1987; and WHEREAS, under the informal bidding procedure set forth in the Lodi Municipal Code, the following bids were received. BIDDER BID Stadiums Unlimited, Grinnell, IA $10,594.70 Playground Produces, San Jose, CA $14,127.00 Ross Equipments/Dant Corp., Louisville, KY $14,557.00 Husbands and Assoc/Game Time, Fort Payne, AL $16,396.00 WHEREAS, because of the urgency for this equipment in that it was needed to be in place for the softball tournament scheduled for August 13 - 16, 1987, Staff was granted the authority to proceed in making the appropriate award; and WHEREAS, inasmuch as the low bidder, Stadiums Unlimited's estimated best delivery date was August 15, 1987, the award was made to Playground Products in the amount of $14,127.00. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby concur in staff's action awarding the bid for the softball complex bleachers to Playground Products in the amount of $14,127.00 Dated: July 15, 1987 I hereby certify that Resolution No. 87-85 was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in a regular meeting held July 15, 1987 by the following vote: Ayes: Council Members - Hinchman, Pinkerton, Reid, Snider and Olson (Mayor) Noes.
