HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 87-23RESOLUTION NO. 87-23 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF LODI, CALIFORNIA ORDERING THE PARKVIEW TERRACE REORGANIZATION (IAFC 19-86) WITHOUT NO'T'ICE AND HEARING, INCLUDING AIUTION TO THE CITY OF LODI, AND DETACh161ENT FROM THE WOODBRIDGE FIRE DISTRICT BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NODI IN THE MATTER OF THE PARKVIEW TERRACE RESOLUTION MAKING REORGANIZATION (LAFC 19-86), INCLUDING ) DETERMINATIONS ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF LODI, AND ) AND ORDERING DETACHMENT FROM THE WOODBRIDGE FIRE ) REORGANIZATION DISTRICT ) WITHOUT ELECTION SECTION I: RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF L0DI THAT IT DETS : a) Preliminary proceedings for the annexation of described territory to the City of Lodi and detachment from the Woodbridge Fire District, were initiated by the filing of Resolution No. 86-169 with the Local Agency Formation Commission in the County of San Joaquin pursuant to the requirements of the District Reorganization Act. b) Thereafter appropriate proceedings were conducted by said Local Agency Formation Commission and the said Commission on the 16th day of January, 1987 adopted Resolution No. 695 approving the proposed reorganization without public notice and hearing subject to the terms and conditions set forth within the subject resolution. c) Resolution No. 695 of the Local Agency Formation Commission approving the proposed reorganization also authorizes the City of Lodi to take proceedings for reorganization as the designated Conducting Authority, pursuant to Part 5, Division I, Title 6 of the Government Code, commencing with Section 56290, et seq. SECTION II: RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI: a) That each of the changes in the organization contained in the proposal for reorganization is ORDERED without an election, pursuant to Government Code Section 56439 (c). The changes of organization consist of: 87-23 (1) Annexation of the Parkview Terrace Addition, as shown on Exhibit "A" attached. (2) Detachment of the Parkview Terrace Addition, as shown on Exhibit "A" attached from the Woodbridge Fire District. REIMCHE City Clerk 87-23 Exhibit r`A" December 30, 1986 PARKVIEW TERRACE REORGANIZATION TO THE CITY OF LODI San Joaquin County, California A portion of the South half of Section 3, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, San Joaquin County, California, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the Southwest corner of that parcel of land annexed to the City of Lodi as the "Southern Baptist Addition" as described in City of Lodi Resolution No. 1996, which point is 30 feet Northerly and 1120 feet Easterly of the South Quarter corner of said Section 3, and also being on the North line of Lodi Avenue (formerly Sargent Road); thence along the Lodi City Limit line the following three (3) courses: (1) Wes- terly 1120 feet along said North line of Lodi Avenue, being parallel with the South line of said Section 3, to the West line of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 3, (2) Southerly 10 feet along said West line of Southeast Quarter to intersection with the Easterly extension of the North line of 40 foot wide Sargent Road, and (3) North 890 26' 15" West, 140.00 feet along said Easterly extension and along said North line of Sargent Road, which line is 20 feet Northerly of and parallel with the South line of Section 3, to a point on the Westerly line of the Main Canal of the Woodbridge Irrigation District; thence leaving said City Limit line North 55" 22' 30" West, 80.34 feet along said Westerly line of Woodbridge Irrigation District to a point on a line which is parallel with and 65.00 feet Northerly of, as measured perpendicular to, the South line of said Section 3; thence South 89° 26' 15" East 166.11 feet, parallel with said South line of Section 3, to the West line of Lower Sacramento Road (80 feet wide), said West line being parallel with and 40.00 feet West of, as measured perpendicular to, the East line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 3; thence Northerly 2585.91 feet along said West line of Lower Sacramento Road to the North line of the Southwest Quarter of Section 3, being the South line of that parcel of land annexed to the City of Lodi as the "Kennedy -Taylor Addition" as described in City of Lodi Resolution No. 78-66; thence along the Lodi City Limit line the following four (4) courses: (1) Easterly 80.00 feet to the East line of said Lower Sacramento Road, (2) Southerly 1845 feet, more or less, along said East line of Lower Sacramento Road to the Southwest corner of that parcel of land annexed to the City of Lodi as the "St. Peter's Lutheran Addition" as described in City of Lodi Resolution No. 2975, (3) Easterly 1079.35 feet and (4) Southerly 776.33 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 24 acres, more or less.
