HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 88-31{ RESOLUTION NO. 88-31 RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE FILING WITH THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING OF AN APPLICATION FOR A COMMUNITY CRIME RESISTANCE GRANT - PHASE III WHEREAS, the City of Lodi desires to continue a certain project designated as the Community Crime Resistance Program which was funded in part from the 1985 statutes for the California Community Crime Resistance Program, and/or federal funds as authorized under the Justice Assistance Act of 1984, Public Law 98-473, administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Lodi are hereby authorized, on its behalf to submit the attached application to OCJP for the third year of funding for the Community Crime Resistance Program Grant through the office of Criminal Justice Planning, and are authorized to execute the application on behalf of the City of Lodi Police Department. BE IT RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required for Phase III of said project under the Community Crime Resistance Program and the rules and regulations of OCJP and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
