RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS
URBAN STREAM RESTORATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Urban Stream Restoration Program has been established by the
California Department of Water Resources to assist communities in reducing damages
from stream bank and watershed instability and floods while restoring the
environmental and aesthetic values of streams; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lodi recognizes an urgent need to stabilize the stream
banks of the Mokelumne River and enhance its surrounding watershed environment
within the Lodi Lake Wilderness area consistent with the Lodi Lake Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Lodi Lake Wilderness area provides educational and recreational
opportunities of great importance to the local community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LODI:
Section 1. That the City of Lodi apply for grant funds made available through the
Urban Stream Restoration Program, as necessary, to implement the
Mokelumne River - Lodi Lake Wilderness Area Stream Restoration Program
Plan.
Section 2. That the City Manager be designated to submit the application.

City Council of the City of Lodi in a Regular Meeting held January 6, 1988,
by the following vote:
