A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
DECLARING THE CARNEGIE FORUM BUILDING TO BE A SMOKE FREE FACILITY
WHEREAS, the renovation of the Carnegie Forum will be completed
in the near future and the building will then be used for meetings of
the City Council, the Planning Commission, and other City boards and
bodies; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it desirable to maintain a smoke
free environment for public meetings in this facility, based on health
and comfort considerations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LODI CITY COUNCIL, that
the Carnegie Forum building is declared a smoke free area. No smoking
of any cigar, cigarette, or pipe shall be permitted in any room or
enclosed space within the building, including the foyer, lobby,
restrooms, halls or entry ways.

I hereby certify that Resolution No. 89-45 was passed and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in a regular
meeting held April 19, 1989 by the following vote:
Ayes: Council Members - Hinchman, Olson, Reid, and
Snider (Mayor)
Noes: Council Members - Pinkerton
Absent: Council Members - None
