HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 90-30RESOLUTION NO. 90-30 --------------------- --------------------- A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL APPROVING RESIDENTIAL PERMIT PARKING IN THE VICINITY OF LODI HIGH SCHOOL AND THEREBY AMENDING TRAFFIC RESOLUTION NO. 87-163 WHEREAS, the Lodi City Council has adopted a traffic ordinance which calls for various traffic restrictions to be adopted by resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lodi City Council does hereby approve residential permit parking in the vicinity of Lodi High School as follows: Residential parking permits shall be provided with no modification to existing parking limits ("No Parking 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., school days only); and BE IT RESOLVED, that the existing signs shall be modified to reflect the residential permit parking; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that City of Lodi Traffic Resolution 87-163, Section 6 "Permit Parking" is hereby amended by the addition of a new Zone C designating that preferential permit parking shall be allowed in the vicinity of Lodi High School as follows: Zone C - Lodi High School Area Walnut Street from Pacific Avenue to Ham Lane Oak Street from Pacific Avenue to Ham Lane Wellington Way Pacific Avenue (east side) from Walnut Street to 70 feet south of Elm Street Vehicles displaying valid Zone C permits are exempt from the street parking restrictions described in Section 3.B.3 of this resolution. Zone C - Lodi High School Area Qualification - Parking permits may be issued for vehicles only upon application of a legal resident of property adjacent to a street within the residential permit parking area who has a motor vehicle registered in his or her name or has a motor vehicle for his or her exclusive use and under his or her control. -1- 90-30 Resolution 90-30, continued Proof of residency and motor vehicle ownership or vehicle use and control shall be demonstrated in a manner determined by the Finance Director. Term - Zone C permits shall remain effective for a period of three calendar years or fractions thereof, or so long as the applicant continues to reside in a qualified dwelling unit for such permit or until the preferential parking zone for which such permit was issued is eliminated, whichever period of time is less. Fee - The Finance Director shall collect a fee of $3.00 for each original permit issued and for each renewal permit issued. Fees are payable for three calendar year periods of time only and will not be prorated for lesser periods of time.
