HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 91-24RESOLUTION NO. 91-24 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE GRANT APPLICATION WHEREAS, the City of Lodi recognizes that it is in the public interest to enact and implement an integrated waste management plan to address the State's diminishing landfill space and the potential adverse environmental impacts from landfilling; and WHEREAS, funds are available, pursuant to the provisions of Public Resources Code Sections 46400 and 46401 from the Solid Waste Management Fund, for grants to local governments to establish and implement waste diversion and separation programs to prevent disposal of hazardous waste, including household hazardous waste, in solid waste landfills; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lodi authorizes the submittal of an application to the California Integrated Waste Management Board for a Household Hazardous Waste Grant. The City Manager of the City of Lodi is hereby authorized and empowered to execute in the name of the City of Lodi all necessary applications, contracts, agreements and amendments to secure grant funds and to implement and carry out the purposes specified in the application. The foregoing resolution was passed by the City Council of the City of Lodi this 6th day of February, 1991. Effective February 6, 1991.
