HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 92-44RESOLUTION NO. 92-44 -------------------- -------------------- A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK, PURSUANT TO STATE OF CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 57000 ET SEQ. TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE "CENTURY MEADOWS ADDITION" ANNEXATION/REORGANIZATION, INCLUDING ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF LODI AND DETACHMENT FROM THE WOODBRIDGE FIRE DISTRICT, THE WOODBRIDGE IRRIGATION DISTRICT, THE WOODBRIDGE WATER USERS CONSERVATION DISTRICT AND THE SJC RESOURCE CONSERVATION DISTRICT WHEREAS, the above -entitled proposal for the "Century Meadows" Reorganization, including annexation to the City of Lodi and detachment from the Woodbridge Fire District, the Woodbridge Irrigation District, the Woodbridge Water Users Conservation District and the SJC Resource Conservation District, was initiated by the City of Lodi with adoption of Resolution No. 91-221 entitled "A Resolution of the Lodi City Council For Application to the San Joaquin County Local Agency Formation Commission in the Matter of the Proposed "Century Meadows Addition", Including the Detachment of Certain Territory Within the Area Proposed For Annexation to the City of Lodi" on December 4, 1991, and on December 31, 1991, the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Joaquin Executive Officer certified the application filed for processing in accordance with the Local Government Reorganization Act; and WHEREAS, following a public hearing regarding the matter held on February 21, 1992, the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Joaquin County adopted Resolution No. 851 - Resolution Approving the Melva Lind Reorganization (LAFC 28-91) Including Annexation to the City of Lodi and Detachment from the Woodbridge Fire District, the Woodbridge Irrigation District, the Woodbridge Water Users Conservation District and the SJC Resource Conservation District, determining and ordering the following: 1. The Negative Declaration adopted by the City of Lodi, as lead agency, was reviewed and considered. 2. The above entitled reorganization is approved subject to the terms and conditions contained herein. 3. The boundaries are hereby approved as submitted, said boundaries being set forth in Exhibit A. 4. The affected territory is uninhabited. 5. The City of Lodi is designated as the conducting authority and the City Council is authorized to initiate proceedings for uninhabited reorganization in accordance with Section 57000 et seq. of the Government Code. RES9244/TXTA.02J 6. The Executive Officer is hereby authorized and directed to mail and file certified copies of this resolution as required by Section 56853 of the Government Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lodi City Council does hereby direct the City Clerk, pursuant to State of California Government Code Section 57000 et seq. to set a public hearing for Wednesday, April 1, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. to consider the Century Meadows Addition Reorganization including annexation to the City of Lodi and detachment from the Woodbridge Fire District, the Woodbridge Irrigation District, the Woodbridge Water Users Conservation District and the SJC Resource Conservation District. Reimche City Clerk -2- 92-44 RES9244/TXTA.02J r EXHIBIT A January 30, 1992 CENTURY MEADOWS ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF LODI San Joaquin County, California A portion of Sections 14, 15 and 23, Township 3 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the north line of the Southeast quarter of said Section 15, bearing South 89012'15" East, 999.54 feet from the northwest corner of said Southeast quarter, said point being on the Lodi City Limit line; thence leaving said City Limit line and running South 89°12'15" East along said north line of Southeast quarter, 321.09 feet to said City Limit line; thence along said City Limit line the following three (3) courses: (1) continue along said north line of Southeast quarter, South 89012'15" East, 2772.36 feet to the northwest corner of the 6.32 acre parcel designated PARCEL "A" on Parcel Map filed in Book 10 of Parcel Maps, at page 9, San Joaquin County Records, (2) South 0°07104" East along the west line of said PARCEL "A", 780.00 feet to the southwest corner thereof, and (3) South 89012145" East along the south line of said PARCEL "A" and its easterly production, 480.27 feet to the east right of way line of the Woodbridge Irrigation District Canal; thence continuing along said City Limit line and running along the east, north and east right of way line of said Irrigation District Canal the following three (3) courses: (1) South 1°04146" East, 486.61 feet, (2) South 89°17'29" East, 700.00 feet and (3) South 0°05139" East, 1339.72 feet to the north line of 50 -foot wide Harney Lane; thence leaving said Irrigation District Canal right of way line and continuing South 0005139" East along said City Limit line, 50.00 feet to the south line of said Harney Lane; thence leaving said City Limit line, North 89°28'30" West along said south line of Harney Lane, 2630.30 Eeet to the west line of said Section 23; thence northerly along the*west line of said Section 23 and along the west line of said Section 14, a distance of 1346.12 feet to the southeast corner of the north -half of said Southeast quarter of Section 15; thence North 89°10'09" West along the south line of said north -half, 1650.23 feet to said City Limit line; thence North 00008100" West along said City Limit line, 1320.11 feet to the point of beginning.
