A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK, PURSUANT TO STATE OF CALIFORNIA GOVERNMENT
CODE SECTION 57000 ET SEQ. TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE
"MELVA LIND ADDITION" ANNEXATION/REORGANIZATION, INCLUDING ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF LODI AND DETACHMENT FROM THE MOKELUMNE FIRE DISTRICT AND
SJC RESOURCE CONSERVATION DISTRICT

WHEREAS, the above -entitled proposal for the "Melva Lind
Addition" Reorganization, including annexation to the City of Lodi and
detachment from the Mokelumne Fire District and the SJC Resource
Conservation District was initiated by the City of Lodi with adoption
of Resolution No. 91-222 entitled "A Resolution of the Lodi City
Council For Application to the San Joaquin County Local Agency
Formation Commission in the Matter of the Proposed "Melva Lind
Addition", Including the Detachment of Certain Territory Within the
Area Proposed For Annexation to the City of Lodi" on December 4, 1991,
and on December 31, 1991, the Local Agency Formation Commission of San
Joaquin Executive Officer certified the application filed for
processing in accordance with the Local Government Reorganization Act;
and
WHEREAS, following a public hearing regarding the matter held on
February 21, 1992 , the Local Agency Formation Commission of San
Joaquin County adopted Resolution No. 850 - Resolution Approving the
Melva Lind Reorganization (LAFC 27-91) Including Annexation to the City
of Lodi and Detachment from the Mokelumne Fire District and the SJC
Resource Conservation District, determining and ordering the following:
1. The Negative Declaration adopted by the City of Lodi, as lead
agency, was reviewed and considered.
2. The above entitled reorganization is approved subject to the
terms and conditions contained herein.
3. The boundaries are hereby approved as submitted, said boundaries
being set forth in Exhibit A.
4. The affected territory is uninhabited.
5. The City of Lodi is designated as the conducting authority and
the City Council is authorized to initiate proceedings for
uninhabited reorganization in accordance with Section 57000 et
seq. of the Government Code.
6. The Executive Officer is hereby authorized and directed to mail
and file certified copies of this resolution as required by
Section 56853 of the Government Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lodi City Council does
hereby direct the City Clerk, pursuant to State of California
Government Code Section 57000 et seq. to set a public hearing for
Wednesday, April 1, 1992 at 7:30 p.m, to consider the Melva Lind
Reorganization including annexation to the City of Lodi and detachment
from the Mokelumne Fire District and the SJC Resource Conservation
District.

I hereby certify that Resolution No. 92-43 was passed and adopted
by the Lodi City Council in a regular meeting held March 18, 1992 by
the following vote:

ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF LODI
San Joaquin County, California
A portion of the northeast -quarter of Section 7, Township
North, Range 7 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the north line of said Section 7,
bearing South 87°2.0149" Fast, 533.24 feet from the northwest
corner of said northeast -quarter of Section 7, said point being
on the north line of the Central California Traction Company's
100 foot. wide right of way,, and also being on the Lodi City Limit
line; thence along said City Limit line, South 87°20'49" East,
being along the north line of said Section 7 and said Traction
Company's north right of way line, 845.98 feet; thence leaving
said City Limit line, continue South 87°20'49" East along said
north lire of Section 7 and said Traction Company's north right
of way line, 747.02 feet to the beginning of a 766.8 foot radius
curve to the right in said Traction Company's right of way line;
thence -southeasterly along said curve, 683 feet, more or less, to
the east line of said Section 7; thence South 0°47'19" East along
said east line, being along said Traction Company's west right of
way line, 961.05 meet to the southeast corner of the north -half
of said northeast -quarter of Section 7, said corner being on said
City Limit line; thence along said City Limit line the following
two (2) courses: (1) North 87°33'30" West along the south line
of said north -half of northeast -quarter of Section 7, a distance
of 2122.54 feet to the southeast corner of that certain 15.16
acre parcel of land shown on Record of Survey, filed in Book of
Surveys, Volume 31, page 75, San Joaquin County Records, and (2)
North 0047'19" West along the east line of said 15.16 acre parcel
and its northerly production, 1332.75 feet to the point of
beginning.
Containing 63.2 acres, more or less.
