A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
RENAMING THE SWIMMING POOL COMPLEX AT BLAKELY PARK
THE "ENZE/FIELD SWIM COMPLEX"
WHEREAS, for many years Marilyn Field, Recreation Superintendent,
worked hand-in-hand with Mel Enze in all phases of the Recreation and
Parks Department's aquatic programs; earlier as the Lodi City Swim Club
operations and activities, then, through the development of the Lodi
Summer Swim League which today consists of four teams and over 400
youthful swimmers and numerous volunteers; and
WHEREAS, most recently, Marilyn Field as Recreation
Superintendent, directed and worked with Mike Reese, Aquatics
Supervisor, and John Griffin, Lodi City Swim Club to assist wherever
needed, and helped not only with those programs, but with swimming
lessons, boat rental operations, part-time staff issues and
coordination as well; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission with the Enze
family's wholehearted approval has made the City Council aware that
they would like to honor Marilyn Field for all of the aforementioned
accomplishments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lodi City Council does
hereby approve the renaming of the swimming pool complex at Blakely
Park, the 'Enze/Field Swim Complex".

I hereby certify that Resolution No. 93-126 was passed and
adopted by the Lodi City Council in a regular meeting held October 6,
1993 by the following vote:
Ayes: Council Members - Davenport, Mann, Sieglock, Snider,
and Pennino (Mayor)
Noes: Council Members - None
Absent: Council Members - None
