A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING
THE GREATER LODI AREA YOUTH COMMISSION TO
INCREASE THE NUMBER OF STUDENT APPOINTEES FROM
SEVEN TO NINE
WHEREAS, on April 21, 1993 the City Council unanimously approved the
establishment of a Youth Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the Mission Statement and purpose of the Lodi Youth Commission is
to affect positive growth in young adults, ages 13 to 19, through a variety of activities that
will generate interest and participation within the greater Lodi area; and
WHEREAS, on December 21, 1994, a report was presented to the City Council
regarding the reorganization of the Youth Commission and indicated that the Commission
would now consist of five adult representatives, seven youth representatives, one Council
Member and one School District representative; and
WHEREAS, following a recent meeting with the Mayor and staff liaison, it was
agreed that the Commission should be increased from seven to nine student appointees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Greater Lodi Area Youth
Commission is hereby authorized to increase the number of student appointees from
seven to nine.

Council of the City of Lodi in a regular meeting held August 5, 1998, by the following vote:
