HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 96-21RESOLUTION NO. 96-21 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT DAY ROOM FURNITURE, APPROVING REVISED BID SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING READVERTISEMENT WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council sealed bids were received and publicly opened on February 21, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. for the bid for Fire Department Day Room Furniture, described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on February 7, 1996 and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Bidde Location Bids Sak's Lodi $5,850.68 Fosen's Lodi $5,981.20 Delta Office Systems Stockton No Bid Durst Office Systems Stockton No Bid Holsinger Menlo Park No Bid JHL Office Interiors Modesto No Bid Jones -Campbell Company Sacramento No Bid Shamrock Equipment American Canyon No Bid Warden's Office Stockton No Bid WHEREAS, because of changes needed in the specifications to seek commercial -grade (24-hour environment) chairs rather than chairs for residential use, staff recommends that Council reject all bids, approve the revised specifications and authorize readvertising for bids. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that all bids received are hereby rejected for the Fire Department Day Room Furniture, and hereby approves the revised specifications, and authorizes staff to readvertise for bids.
