HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 98-58RESOLUTION NO. 98-58 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIVE PADMOUNT TRANSFORMERS WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on April 1, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. for the purchase of five padmount transformers for the Electric Utility Department, described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on November 19,1997; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as shown on Exhibit A attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award of the bid for the purchase of five padmount transformers for the Electric Utility Department, be made to the bidders whose proposals and equipment met City of Lodi specifications, and whose transformers yielded the lowest overall life -cycle costs in each rating category, to wit: Kuhlman Electric, Versailles, KY Howard Industries, Laurel MS Western States Electric, Portland, OR 2 ea. 167KVA 10 $ 4,773.33 1 ea. 75KVA 30 $ 3,597.77 2 ea. 1500KVA 30 $34.900.23 $43,271.33 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of the purchase of five padmount transformers for the Electric Utility Department, be and the same is hereby awarded to the above-described responsible bidders, in the total amount of $43,271.33.
