A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING
THE BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF A SOIL SPREADER FOR
THE PARKS DIVISION
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the
order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on February 25,
1998 at 2:00 p.m. for a Soil Spreader for the Park Division, described in the specifications
therefore approved by the City Council on January 21, 1998; and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report
thereof filed with the City Manager as follows:

West Star Distributing Rancho Cordova $7,199.86
H.V. Carter Livermore $7,407.81
Gordon Bannerman Limited Canada $7,542.49
Jenkins Machinery Co. Concord $7,747.23
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends award of the bid for the Soil Spreader
for the Park Division be made to the low bidder, West Star Distributing of Rancho
Cordova, CA; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of
the bid for the Soil Spreader for the Park Division, be and the same is hereby awarded to
West Star Distributing of Rancho Cordova, CA, the low bidder, in the amount of $7,199.86.

I hereby certify that Resolution No. 9841 was passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Lodi in a regular meeting held March 18, 1998, by the following vote:

Sieglock (Mayor)
NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS - None
