HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 97-171 RESOLUTION NO. 97-17 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACTS FOR CENTRAL CITY REVITALIZATION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, DOWNTOWN AND CHEROKEE LANE WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council sealed bids were received and publicly opened on January 29, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. for the Central City Revitalization Improvement Project, Downtown and Cherokee Lane, described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on November 20, 1996; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Bidder Diede Construction Location Woodbridge DSS Construction Co. Stockton Golden Bay Construction Co. San Carlos Granite Construction Co. Stockton Teichert Construction Co. Stockton Downtown $4,114,160.48 $4,431,513.00 $4,248,524.75 $4,398,780.40 $6,154,550.08 Cherokee $ No Bid $3,931,592.70 $ No Bid $3,865,318.00 $4,242,114.86 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of the contracts for -the Central City Revitalization Improvement Project, Downtown and Cherokee Lane, be made as follows: Award Cherokee Lane Improvements to Granite Construction Company of Stockton, CA in the amount of $3,865,318.00 for Base Bids 1, 3, 4 and 5; and Award Downtown Improvements to Diede Construction Company of Woodbridge, CA in the amount of $4,114,160.48 for Base Bids 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the City Manager is hereby authorized to appropriate funds as follows to cover this project: Dated: February 5, 1997 Fund Testing & Total Total Contingencies Appropriation Assessment District/General Fund $5,119,000 $281,000 $5,400,000 Street Fund $2,196,000 $154,000 $2,350,000 Drainage Fund $ 662,000 $ 33,000 $ 695,000 Water Fund $ 62,000 $ 3,000 $ 65,000 Wastewater Fund $ 4,000 $ 1,000 $ 5,000 Electric Fund $ 115,000 $ 5,000 $ 120,000 Dated: February 5, 1997 I hereby certify that Resolution No. 97-17 was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in a regular meeting held February 5, 1997, by the following vote: AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS - Land, Mann, Siegiock, Warner and Pennino (Mayor) NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS - None ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS - None ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS - None 97-17
