HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions - No. 97-172RESOLUTION NO. 97-172 A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR WHITE SLOUGH WATER POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY BOILER #1 REPLACEMENT WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on October 1, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. for White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility Boiler #1 Replacement, described in the specifications therefore approved by the City Council on September 17, 1997; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Bidder Location Bid Amount Superintendent's Estimate $85.000 IPS Mechanical, Inc. Sacramento $91,253 R.F. MacDonald Company Modesto $91,978 WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends award of the contract for White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility Boiler #1 Replacement, be made to the low bidder, IPS Mechanical, Inc., of Sacramento, Califomia; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of the contract for White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility Boiler #1 Replacement, be and the same is hereby awarded to the low bidder IPS Mechanical, Inc., of Sacramento, California in the amount of $91,253; and FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Lodi City Council that additional funds in the amount of $14,000 from the Wastewater Contingency Fund be appropriated. Dated: October 15, 1997 I hereby certify that Resolution No. 97-172 was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Lodi in a regular meeting held October 15, 1997, by the following vote: AYES: COUNCIL MEMBERS — Land, Mann, Sieglock, Warner and Pennino (Mayor) NOES: COUNCIL MEMBERS - None ABSENT: COUNCIL MEMBERS - None ABSTAIN: COUNCIL MEMBERS - None ALICE M.
