There being no other persons wishing to speak on the matter, the public portion of the hearing was closed Council member Olson then moved to deny the request to establish School Street from Lodi Avenue to Lockeford Street as a one-way street. The motion was seconded by Council Member Sni-der but failed to pass by the following vote: p Ayes: Council Member - Olson and Snider t Noes: Council - Member - Murphy, Pinkerton and Reid (Mayor) fell+uwiny additianal discussion, on motion of Council Member i finkertom, Murphy set.ond, Council tentatively approved a one-way traffi° pattern for School Street, determined that both the j pruponrr°iti knil opponents of the proposed Downtown Assessment flistrit-t s°•iect three members each to meet with a member of the Lodi City Council which group is to report back to the Council in 30 days with recommendations regarding the subject area.. At that time the Council will make a determination on releasing of the contract to perform the required engineering and assessment tasks associated with this procedure in the amount of $50,000. Mayor Reid then appointed Councilman James Pinkerton to be the Council's representative to this "Task Force" and requested the "Task Force" report be presented at the October 6, 1982 Council meeting.
