PUBLIC HEARINGS Notice thereof having been published in accordance with law
and affidavit of publication being on file in the Office of
the City Clerk, Mayor Reid called for the Public Fearing to
consider the adoption of a Resolution as providea in 0rc3 =° n ;^: „;
. e City of Lodi as it pextain, to Lodi Avenue from Ham Lane
to Central Avenue.
The matter was introduced by Public Works Director Jack Ronsko.
Mrs. Frank Grenko, 233 S. Pleasant Avenue, Lodi, addressed the
Council, urging that Lodi Avenue be posted between Hutchins and
Sacramento Street, between the hours of 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a..m.
Also addressing the Council on the matter was Mrs. Pat Holman,
• 2017 Weut Lodi Avenue, Lodi, California.
A lengthy discussion followed with questions being directed to
Staff and to those persons who had given testimony. Diagkams
of the subject area were presented for Council's perusal.

There being no other persons in the audienco_wishi;tg to
speak on the matter, -the public portion of the hearing<was closed
Council Member. Olson asksd to abstain from voting oun t'he matter, •
as she owns property on Lodi Avenue and would have a possible x
Conflict of Interest.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lodi on June
2, 1982 adopted Ordinance No. 1262 entitled, "An Ordinance of
the City Council of the City of Lodi amending Article V
(Stopping, Standing and Parking) of Chapter 14 (Motor Vehicles
and Traffic) of the Lodi City Code".
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1262 provides that the City
Council, by resolution, shall designate standing or parking
restrictions within the City of Lodi, and the City Engineer
shall be authorized to erect signs, or curb markings in areas
so designated by resolution of the City Council of the City of
Lodi.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lodi held a
Public Hearing on July 21, 1982 to consider the adoption of a
Resolution as provided in Ordinance No. 1262 designating
standing or parking restrictions within the City of Lodi as it
pertains to Lodi Avenue from Ham Lane to Central Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of Lodi does hereby designate standing or parking
restrictions on Lodi Avenue between Hutchins Street and
Stockton Street between the hours of 9:00 P.M. and 6:0`0 A.M.
every calendar day of the year as shown on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and thereby made a part hereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City
Council of the City of Lodi does hereby authorize the City
Engineer to erect signs or curb markings in the areas so
designated by this resolution.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LODI AMENDING ARTICLE V (STOPPING, STANDING
AND PARKING) OF CHAPTER 14 (MOTOR VEHICLES AND
TRAFFIC) OF THE LODI CITY CODE
BE IT O.RUAINIED by the City Council of the City of Lodi
as follows:
Section 1. - Article V (Stopping, Standing and
Parking) of Chapter 14 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic) of the
Lodi City Code is hereby amended by adding a new Section
to read as follows:
"Section Standing or Parking Restrictions.
a) The City Council, by resolution, shall designate
standing or parking restrictions within the City
of Lodi, and the city engineer shall be authorized
to erect signs, or curb markings in areas so
designated by resolution of tate City Council of
the City of Lodi.
b) No person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle on
any of the streets designated by resolution as
streets upon which parking is restricted, for a
length of time greater than that set out in any
such resolution and indicated on such signs or
curb markings.-
Section 2. - All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are repealed insofar as such conflict may
exist.
Section 3. - This orlinance shall be published one
time in the "Lodi Life and Times", a twice weekly newspaper of
general circulation printed and published in the City of Lodi
and shall be in force and take effect thirty days from and
after its passage and approval.

SUBJECT: Notice of Parking Restrictions on Lodi Avenue
The City Council at their regular meeting of July 21, 1982, passed
a resolution authorizing the installation and enforcement of
NO PARKING regulations on Lodi Avenue between Hutchins Street and
Stockton Street between the hours of 9:00 P.M. and 6:00 A.M. as
shown on the attached sketch. -
Because of the problem with obtaining special signs to be installed
and the workload in the Public Works Department, it will probably
be 8 - 10 weeks before the signs can be erected and enforcement be-
gun. Should you have any questions, contact the City at any time.

public hearing in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 221 West Pine.
Street, Lodi, to consider the adoption of a resolution, as provided
in Ordinance No. 1262, designating standing or parking restriction'
