Ordinance No. 1262 entitled, "An Ordinance of the City Council of the City
of Lodi Amending Article V (Stopping, Standing and Parking) of Chapter 14
(Motor Vehicles and Traffic) of the Lodi City Code", which was adopted by
tt+e L ;'t City Council on June 2, 1982 becomes effective this date.
As directed by the Council at the time of the adoption of this Ordinance, I have
placed this matter on the Agenda for this meeting so that a Public Hearing can
be set to consider the adoption of a resolution, as provided in this Ordinance,
designating standing or parking restrictions within the City of Lodi as it
pertains to Lodi Avenue.
A copy of Ordinance No. 1262 is attached for you: pe-.usal.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
It is recommended that Council set this matter for Public Hearing at its
next regular meeting, Wednesday, July 21, 1982 at StOO pm.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LODI AMENDING ARTICLE V (STOPPING, STANDING
AND PARKING) OF CHAPTER 14 (HOT -OR VEHICLES AND
TRAFFIC) OF THE LODI CITY CODE
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Lodi
as follows:

Parking) of Chapter 14 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic) of the
Lodi City Code is hereby amended by adding a new Section
to read as follows:
*Section Standing or Parking Restrictions.
a) The City Council, by resolution, shall designate
standing or parking restrictions within the City
of Lodi, and the city engineer shall be authorized
to erect signs, or curb markings in areas so

designated by resolution of the City Council of
the City of Lodi.
b) No person shall step, stand, or park any vehicle on

any of the streets designated by resoku-tion as
streets upon which parking: is restricted, for a
length of time greater than that set out in any
such resolution and indicated on such signs or
curb markings."
Section 2., - All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are repealed insofar as such conflict may

exist.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be published one
time in the "Lodi Life and Times*, a twice weekly newspaper of
general circulation printed and published in the City of Lodi
and shall be in force and take affect thirty days from and
after its passage and approval.
