City Clerk Reim -he apprised the Council that all information
required by the Lodi Almicipal Code for the application of
such a license had been provided.
Mr. Nemesio (Eddie) C. Gonzalez. 13602 East Church Street,
Lodi. California. spoke on behalf of his application.
There being no other persons in the and -fence wishing to
speak on the matter. the public portion of the hearing was
closed.
Following discussion with questions being directed to Mr.
Gonzalez and to Staff. Council. on mm -tion of Council Member
Olson. Hincham second. authorized the issuing of a license
for Limousine Service within the City of Lodi to the
heretofore referenced applicant, Mr. Gonzalez, pursuant to
Section 24-20 et seq of the Lodi Umicipal Code.

NOTICE IS 1003Y GIVEN that on Thursday. July 5, 1984 at the
hour of 7:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter rimy be heard,
the Lodi City Council will conduct a Public Hearing regarding the
Application for Limousine Service within the City of Lodi received
from Nemesio (Ec1d'ie) C Gonzalez. Said Public Hearing will be held in
the Council Cha hers located on the 2nd floor of City Hall, 221 West
Pine Street, Lodi-, California..
In -formation regarding this item may be obtained in the
office of the City Clerk at 221 Wast Pine Street, Lodi, California.
All interested persons are invited to attend and present their views
and ccaments. Written stateseents may be filed with the City Clerk at
any time prior to July 5, 1984.

Article H. Operator's Permit.
Soo. 24-20. Required.
It shall be unlawful to operate or cause to be operated an auto-
mobile for hire or a taxicab upon any public street within the city,
without first having obtained a permit to do so in accordance with
the provisions of this article, and without rontplying or having com-
plied with all of the provisions of this chapter. (Ord: No. 268, 1 2.)

Any person desiring to obtain the permit required by the preceding
section shall pay a fee of tett dollars to the city clerk and shall orale
application for the permit to the city council, which application shall
set forth::
(a) The name and address of the applicant. and if the same be a
corporation, the names of its principal officers, or if the same be a
partner -ship, association or factitious, con panv. the names of the part-
ners or persons comprising the association or company, with the ad-
dress of each.
(b) A statement as to whether the permit is desired for an auto-
mobile for hire or a taxicab.
(c) A description of every motor vehicle which the applicant pro-
poses to ust, giving:
1. Trade name;
2. Motor and serial number:
3. State license number;
4. Seating capacity; and.

(d)` The street number and exact location of the place or places
where the applicant proposes to stand each such automobile.
(e) Proposed schedule of rates or fares to be charged for carry-
ing iut..rngrrs in stich antonuibile.

Sec. 24-22. Notice of hearing on application.
Upon the receipt of an application referred to in the preceding sec-
tion, the city clerk shall set a time. not less than ten nor more than
thirty days thereafter, for the hearing of the application before the

Application approved by motion action of the Lodi City Council at its Regular
Council Meeting held July 5, 1984.
Prior to this Permit becoming- effective, the applicant must deliver to the city
Clerk a Certificate of insurance , executed by a company, duly authorized under the
laws of the state to do an insurance business, by the provisions of which- policy
the company promises and undertakes to pay in full all claims for damages- to
persons or property resulting from the operation of the automobiles referred to in
the application, provided-, that the maximum amount for which liability shall be
assumed for injury to or death of one person in any, one accident shall be one hundred
thousand dollars and injury to or death of more than one person in any one accid=ent
shall be three hundred thousand dollars and the maximum amount- for which liability
shall be assumed for injury to or destruction of prom-ty in any one accident shall
be one hundred thousand dollars. if 1-111
