FROM: THE CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE April 26, 1985 SUNECT: PUBLIC HEARING ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT RECOWENDED ACTION: That the City Council conduct public hearing ------------------ on the recommendation of the Planning C -Hiiission for a zoning ordinance amendment -to on p -ovide for an additional use in the R -C -P i -Commercial-Professional) District (Residential and take action as deemed appropriate BACKGROUND INFORMATION: At its regular meeting of April 8, 1985 the PTanning Commission considered a request present -ed by Mr.Aqark Ehlers to permit the rertal and sale of special respiratory and convalescent equipment in the R -C -P (Residential -Commercial -:Professional) District. The Staff position is that such a use is not inappropriate provided the Planning Commission concur with the issuance of a Use Permit. At its meeting of Monday, April 8, 1985 the Lodi City Planning Commission recommended that the City Council approve your request to amend.the R -C -P, Residential -Commercial -Professional District to permit the rental and sale of Special Respiratory and Con- valescent Equipment after first acquiring a Use Permit from the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission's recommendation has been forwarded to the City Council for final hearing and action. Mrs. Alice M.
