LAND USE ELEMENT AMENDMENT GPA -LU -87-1
RECOMMENDED ACTION: At its meeting of Monday, March 9, 1987,
the Lodi City Planning Commission
recommended that the Lodi City Council
amend the Land Use Element of the Lodi General Plan (GPA -LU -87-1) by
redesignating 1340 South Pleasant Avenue from Medium Density
Residential to Commercial.
BACKGROUND: The structure at 1340 South Pleasant
Avenue is located at the northeast corner
of South Pleasant and Kettleman Lane and
is the site of a single-family dwelling. The property is located
north of the Lucky -Thrifty shopping center and easterly of an

On March 19, 1987 in the City of Lodi, San Joaquin County, California, I
deposited in the United States mail, envelopes with first-class postage
prepaid thereo-, containing a copy of the Notice attached hereto, marked
Exhibit "A"; said envelopes were addressed as is more particularly shown
on Exhibit "B" attached hereto.
There is a regular daily commnication by mail between the City of Lodi,
California, and the places to wt.ich said envelopes were addressed.

CITY OF LODI TO CONSIDER THE LODI CITY PLANNING COMMISSION'S
BE AMENDED BY REDESIGNATING 1340 SOUTH PLEASANT AVENUE, LODI,
FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, April 1., 1987 at the hour
of 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Lodi City
Council will conduct a Public Hearing in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 221
West Pine Street, Lodi, California, to consider the Lodi City Planning
Ccamission's recanrendation that the General Plan - land Use Element be
amended by redesignating 1340 South Pleasant Avenue, fran Medium Density
Residential to ComTercial.
Information regarding this item may be obtained in the office of
the Canmuiity Development Director at 221 West Pine Street, Lodi, California,
or b� telephoning (209) 333-6711. All interested persons are invited to
present Uieir views an this matter. Written statements may be'filed with the
City Clerk at any time prior to the Hearing scheduled herein and oral
statements may be made at said Hearing.
If the property owners challenge the subje-,t matter in court, they
may be limited to raising only those issues raised at the Public Hearing
described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City
Clerk at, or prior to, the Public Hearing.
