Wood Construction Co., the low. bidder, in the amount of $41,925.00 BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Plans and specifications for this project were ap- proved by the City Council on February 3, 1982. Bids were opened on Wednesday, February 24, 1982, and the following three bids were received: Bidder Location Bid (Lump Sum) Claude C. Wood Co. Lodi $41,925.00 C. Edward Jones b Co. Lodi $43,619.00 Lawson Mechanical Co. Sacramento $73,300.00 Engineer's Estimate $25,000.00 We have compared the bids and conferred with the low bidder and feel the contract should be awarded to Claude C. Wood Co. L. I fail to see any advantage in disrupt present flow of traffic. There is very lit contestion on any street in downtown Lodi.
