BACKGROUND INFORMATION: As part of the City's Growth Management program, the Planning Commission reviews the requests that have been submitted to the City. Following a public hearing, the Commission makes a recommendation for City Council consideration. Staff received only one application requesting 2012 Growth Management Allocations. The application was submitted by Mr. John Giannonifor 12 medium density residential units on .81 -acre parcel located at 2110 Tienda Drive. On August 8, 2012, the Planning Commission held a public hearing regarding the 2012 Residential Growth Management Development Plan review and Allocations. The Commission received a staff report; heard the staff presentation; asked questions of staff as well as the applicant, and the general public; heard public testimony in support and in opposition to the application; closed the public hearing, and voted 4-2, with one Commissioner absent, to recommend the City Council approve the applicant's request for 12 medium density growth management allocation units (12 -GM -01). If approved, the applicant must submit a development plan for review and approval by the Planning Commission.
