HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - May 7, 1997 (87)1 I1COUNCIL COMMUNICATION AGENDA TITLE: Acceptance of Improvements Under Mistletoe Removal and Associated Tree Trimming Contract MEETING DATE: May 7, 1997 PREPARED BY: Public Works Director RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under Mistletoe Removal and Associated Tree Trimming contract, and direct the City Engineer to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The project was awarded to Grover Landscaping, Inc., of Modesto, on January 15, 1997, in the amount of $9,420. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was March 17, 1997. The final contract price was $12,375. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is mainly due to the trimming of an additional 43 trees in Districts 3 and 4, and the removal of a structurally hazardous Modesto Ash tree. A total of 237 trees were trimmed. FUNDING: As determined at contract award. �--Vv Jack L.
