AGENDA TITLE: Purchase of Utility Vehicle for the White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt the attached resolution awarding the contract
for the above equipment to Stockton Ford New Holland, Inc., of Stockton,
in the amount of $7,057.63.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This vehicle will be used on a daily basis by facility staff to perform a
variety of maintenance and operations duties. The utility vehicle will
free existing full-size vehicles needed to perform duties away from
the facility and requiring travel on public streets.
Specifications for this vehicle were approved on April 2, 1997. The City received the following two bids
for this equipment:

RESOLUTION NO. 97-50
A RESOLUTION OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
AWARDING THE BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF UTILITY VEHICLE
FOR THE WHITE SLOUGH WATER POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the
order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened on April 17,
1997 at 11:00 a.m. for the purchase of a utility vehicle for the White Slough Water
Pollution Control Facility, described in the specifications therefore approved by the City
Council on April 2, 1997; and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report
thereof filed with the City Manager as follows:

WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends award of the bid for the purchase of
the utility vehicle for the White Slough Water Pollution Control Facility, be made to the low
bidder, Stockton Ford New Holland, Inc. of Stockton, CA and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Lodi City Council that the award of
the bid for the purchase of one utility vehicle for the White Slough Water Pollution Control
Facility, be and the same is hereby awarded to Stockton Ford New Holland, Inc. of
Stockton, CA, the low bidder, in the amount of $7,057.63.
