BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The City of Lodi is required to hold a public hearing to allow the public an opportunity to comment on the City's transit projects funded by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). In the past, very few, if any, comments have been given regarding the use of federal funds for transit projects. Staff expects the same this year. The program of projects will be published in the Lodi News Sentinel and a public hearing will be conducted on May 16, 2001. For FY 2000/01, the program of projects is as follows: Section 5307 Funds: Operations $ 400,000 Lodi Station Parking Structure $1,957,000 Facility Upgrades $ 96,000 Vehicle Related Equipment $ 9,600 Engine Repower to CNG $ 47,600 Purchase 6 New CNG Dial -A -Ride Buses $ 354,000 Bus Shelters $ 64,000 CNG Station $ 560,000 MSC Shop Design $ 120,000 Passenger Amenities $ 9,600 Component Rebuilds $ 19,200 Total $3,637,000 Section 5309 Funds: Lodi Station Parking Structure $ 850,000 Total $ 850,000 FUNDING: None required.
