AGENDA TITLE: Set Public Hearing for May 21, 1997 to Consider Dial -A -Ride and Fixed -Route Changes

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council set a public hearing for the regularly scheduled
Council meeting of May 21, 1997, to consider changes to the
Dial -A -Ride and fixed -route systems.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Federal regulations require the local legislative body to conduct a
public hearing on any service changes to its Dial -A -Ride or fixed -
route systems. A Shirtsleeve Session has been held to discuss
the proposed changes the Lodi City Council will be asked to
approve. Newspaper ads and notices describing the proposed changes have been published, and a
public meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at 12 noon at Carnegie Forum to solicit
comments from the public on how these proposed changes will affect them.
